Systems Engineer
This is an onsite position for a motivated, hands-on Systems Engineer with experience working with electro-mechanical devices.
Pay Range: $42-$50/hour
Position Overview
- Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices, and implementation in complex systems and assignments.
- General responsibilities include design concept generation, participation in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specifications, reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions.
- Makes independent decisions.
- Assists in the development of manufacturing processes and troubleshoots issues to determine root causes and possible engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Test method development, DoE, and data analysis using Python.
- Analyze digital outputs from sensors and interpret the resulting data.
- Develop and maintain test beds.
- Troubleshoot technical and system-related issues.
- Develop comprehensive testing plans.
- Execute hands-on testing protocols.
- Author detailed technical reports.
- Manage the defect lifecycle, including collection, documentation, and summarization for development partners.
Must-Have Skills
- Experience with risk and requirements management.
- Strong technical writing skills, including protocols, reports, and other technical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience with complex electro-mechanical systems.
Education & Experience
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Preferred disciplines include Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Software Engineering.
- Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in an FDA- or FAA-regulated environment is a strong plus.
- Experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred.
Interview Process
- Interviews will be conducted virtually.
- The interview process consists of two rounds: an individual interview and a panel interview.
