Project Manager

Our client, a global trading firm, is looking for a strong Project Manager to drive a portfolio of Operations and Accounting technology initiatives that sit at the center of how the firm manages its capital, data, and costs. This role suits an experienced PM who can own delivery end to end, keep multiple global workstreams on track at once, and work comfortably across the Operations, Accounting, and Technology teams.

The position is based in New York and calls for a candidate who can operate independently and set the pace here. Regular travel to the firm’s Bala Cynwyd, PA office is part of the role, so we’re looking for someone open to a consistent on-site presence there as the projects require.

Initiatives you’ll drive

• Treasury Platform

  Optimize the firm’s capital, minimize interest expense, and proactively manage risk-weighted asset (RWA) charges through a dedicated treasury platform.

• Global Data Warehouse Platform

  Centralize the firm’s positions, transactions, and cash in a single platform that drives different business functions — and, over time, provides the shared data foundation for building shared applications globally.

• Global Charges

  Stand up a global platform to compute all transaction fees, spanning roughly 300 distinct fee types.

• Trade Finance

  Build a global platform to compute interest charges from the prime brokers.

What you’ll do

• Own end-to-end project tracking and delivery across the full portfolio of initiatives above.
• Define and manage scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risks, keeping each workstream moving and visible.
• Coordinate across Operations, Accounting, and Technology stakeholders, aligning priorities and driving decisions.
• Provide clear, consistent status reporting to firm leadership and project sponsors.
• Partner closely with the Bala Cynwyd teams, on site as the work demands.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional technology projects, ideally within a trading firm, capital markets, or broader financial services environment.
• A track record of delivering multiple concurrent workstreams and holding them all to plan.
• Strong stakeholder management and clear, direct communication with both technical and business partners.
• Comfort operating independently from the New York office while sustaining regular presence in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
• Added plus: business analysis skills, and familiarity with treasury and capital optimization, RWA charges, transaction fees, or prime brokerage / trade finance.
