Apple and other Big Tech Companies Announce Stricter Return-to-Work Standards. How Will Other Industries Respond?

With the pandemic apparently subsiding in the United States, the question on everyone’s mind remains: will remote work be the new norm?

Tech giants such as Apple, Facebook, and Google, have all made their own statements on what the future of work will look like. Apple and Google have stated their employees must return to the office at least three days a week, citing a need for person-to-person collaboration. Facebook, on the other hand, has committed to allowing its employees to be fully remote.

Sharp Decisions knows that a flexible, hybrid approach can provide the most agility for companies, and workers, to respond to both trends in productivity and epidemiology, so we can insure a safe working environment for everyone.

It is clear that working in an office facilitates cultural exchanges, though may not be the most productive if measuring progress only by metrics such as revenue or throughput, especially for salaried employees who have adapted to greater flexibility.

Where do you think the future is headed?
