Business Data Analyst
Location: Charlotte NC / Jersey City NJ – Hybrid
Type: Long term contract

Must Have: SQL and Python
Responsibilities
- Gather and organize data from internal systems, spreadsheets, and reports.
- Analyze trends, patterns, and business performance using Excel or BI tools.
- Analyze and understand data sources from upstream systems.
- Perform data scrubbing and data quality analysis.
- Create and document technical requirements related to data sources and data processing.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business and data requirements.
- Collaborate with data development teams supporting CyberDW data loads.
- Support data initiatives related to Data Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Encryption programs.
- Interpret data in a business context and communicate findings effectively.
- Work cross-functionally with business and technical teams.
Required / Preferred Skills
- Strong Data Analysis experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel or BI tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data issues and inconsistencies.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data in a business context.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Exposure to SQL and relational databases is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio is a plus.
