Trade Operations Analyst
Summary
Own the end-to-end processing, settlement, and reconciliation of trades across multiple asset classes, ensuring every transaction is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with regulatory and operational standards. In this role, you will work at the center of the Operations ecosystem, collaborating with internal teams and external counterparties to keep trade flows moving efficiently and resolve issues quickly.
What You’ll Do
- Validate, process, and settle trades across internal systems for equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other financial products.
- Monitor trade confirmations, allocations, and settlement status while investigating exceptions and driving issue resolution to completion.
- Reconcile trade activity with custodians, brokers, and counterparties to ensure records are accurate and operational risks are identified early.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, and external counterparties to troubleshoot failed settlements and minimize recurring issues.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and support audit requests, control testing, regulatory reporting, and compliance initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance systems for greater efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in trade operations, settlements, or middle office functions.
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, financial instruments, and post-trade operations.
- Experience with industry platforms such as DTCC, Bloomberg, SWIFT, or similar financial systems.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with financial software platforms.
- Eagerness to learn and expand knowledge across multiple asset classes and financial products.
