Civil Engineering Project Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $100/hr (W2)
There may be instances of travel within the Phoenix, AZ area. Expense reimbursements are available.
Responsibilities
- Manage CIP replacement and rehabilitation projects at various facilities and in the right-of-way.
- Participate in planning, design, and construction management of projects.
- Develop project scope, cost estimates, and facilitate long-range planning.
- Procure and administer construction contracts.
- Conduct technical reviews of design plans and specifications.
- Coordinate design and construction activities with customers, operational staff, and other departments.
- Integrate final construction documents into Work and Asset Management systems.
Ideal Candidate
Knowledge of:
- Engineering principles applicable to municipal water infrastructure projects.
- Construction methods, materials, and practices used in municipal water infrastructure projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of experience in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Three years of experience in water/wastewater engineering design, plan review, inspection, construction, or project management.
- Two years of experience managing consultants and contractor staff for Capital Improvement Projects or large private industry projects.
- Experience with project scope development, proposal review, payment application review, permitting, and design/construction drawing review.
- Current Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- 3+ years of experience in engineering or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- 2+ years managing consultants and contractor staff for Capital Improvement Projects or large private industry projects.
- Experience in project scope development, proposal review, payment applications, permitting, and design/construction drawing review.
- Current Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
